Discover Financial Abundance
Have you ever wondered what it must be like to have it all?
My children will often say to me “Mummy, are we rich?” to which I answer, yes darling, we are. We are richer than you will ever know.
I then go onto explain that true wealth lies not in the bank account but within ourselves. They are not impressed by this statement but let me explain.
I believe the foundation to true abundance lies in gratitude. If it’s true that what ever we focus on draws closer and the expands then true wealth has to start with gratitude which is an inside job (in our thoughts).
Focusing on what you have, not have not. So for example i may have £25 in my bank account which to many may look like poverty. But my focus is on the fact that I have petrol in the car, food in the cupboards, bills paid, healthy family, peace of mind and happiness.
It feels so good to know that after all of the above is paid out I still have money left over.
Another perspective would be looking at the £25 and constantly feel lack. As you drive you could focus on the petrol going down, the food in the cupboard going down daily and the gas and electric usage evaporating on a daily basis.
The great thing in life is we get to choose our perspective. One is from a position of fear (False – Evidence – Appearing – Real) or faith, trusting in something not yet seen but hoped for.
As a nation we are so abundantly blessed. To have running water, a toilet that flushes, washing machines, dish washers and a place to keep food fresh.
We have an abundance of choice at the supermarket. Fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables; frozen foods; dairy and pastries.
The fact that I am writing this is abundance. To have a computer and the internet. The technology to design a website and have your voice heard.
We are blessed to have an NHS, democracy, Policing thats not totally corrupt.
Some people may determine wealth by material goods such a BMW, designer clothing, Rolex watches but this really is superficial.
I have learned that true wealth comes from connection with our family and local community. Then as Abraham Maslow shared; If we are fed, access to clean water, clothed and have shelter then its one step up the ladder.
To surmise, you choose your perspective. So make wise choices because it will have a massive impact on how you feel.
Thoughts affect feelings, feelings affect actions and actions determine your life.
Be a glass overflowing rather than a glass half empty.
