Guide to Creating a Vision Board in 12 Steps
I always find that before starting my vision board Its helpful to have a clear intention. For example if it relates to business growth, finances, family, relationship, work or nutrition and fitness.
You can place all of the above on it but it will help if you have some clarity about what you desire to achieve from it.
Step 1 – Gather books from Estate agents, Charity shops, Travel agents, Morrisons, Next and Argos. The majority of these will be free but some may cost between 50p and £1.
Step 2 – Buy some large A2 paper, coloured markers, scissors and glue. (If you have some spare lining wall paper this will also suffice).
Step 3 – Print of some motivational statements/words of empowerment (optional).
Step 4 – Create a time where you will not be disturbed for unto 2 hours and lay out all your magazines.
Step 5 – Look through the magazines and anything that stands out to you cut it out and place to one side.
Step 6 – One you have cut out all your desired pictures and words place the on the paper. Move them around until you are happy with where you have placed them and begin to stick them on.
Step 7 – Write a start and end date on the Visions Board. Example 2019-2021
Step 8 – Decorate with words, glitter or anything that makes it pretty if that’s your thing
Step 9 – On the back write three
“I AM” statements e.g I am confident, focused and Healthy.
“I SEE” statements e.g I see A partner, financial freedom and abundance.
“I FEEL” statements e.g Peaceful, loved and valued
Step 10 – Place your Vision Board where you will see it daily and evoke the feeling you will have when they come to pass.
Step 11 – Imagine what you desire and feel it as though it is already in existence. To compliment this create a narrative that gives power to all that you have on your board. (A picture can tell 1000 words you are the chief narrator).
Step 12 – Finally let’s imagine that at present you are single but desire to have a partner. On a night time as you fall asleep be intentional and make statements such as It feels so wonderful to be in a loving relationship, I love how Be intentional and make statements such as It feel so wonderful to be in a loving relationship, I love how excited I feel when I know I am going out on a date with my lover. I love how he makes me feel so special and loved. The gifts he brings are so thoughtful and romantic. I am even more excited for all that the future holds as this is just the beginning.
Compliment this with seeing in detail where he is going to take you, how you travel there, the music you will listen too, what you will eat.
To conclude you must know that whatever you focus on draws closer and then expands. So align yourself with what you desire not on all the lack in your life.
