My Partnership with Muscle Food
Have you ever heard the statements “Abdominals are made in the kitchen” and “ You cannot out train a bad diet”?
I believe both these statements to be true. The challenge however is having the time, energy and knowledge on what macros (fat, carbohydrates and protein) to eat and when.
I am proud to be partnering with Muscle Food because they have created a genius idea. If you desire to either loose weight, maintain or gain muscle they have created plans that will help you to achieve them.
My goal is to loose a little weight and then tone up. I put my stats into the Live Clean system and it calculated what carbohydrates, protein and fats i needed. To reach my goal I needed to eat 1200 calories each day.
On the Live Clean app they have a tab where you choose 5 breakfasts, 5 snacks, 5 lunches, 5 snacks, 5 evening meals and another 5 snacks.
My box came on Monday and I was so excited to open it up. I laid out my 5 days of meals and was astonished at how much food I was allocated each day. My initial thoughts were “surely I will not loose weight on this”. I will reveal the results as I continue with Muscle Food.
My choices of breakfast included Porridge oats with added protein, Pancakes, Oat biscuit and Sausage, beans and potatoes pot. I have to say that I loved the oats, the sausage pot and the protein biscuit but found the pancakes to be a little dry for me. Although if you added some honey and Natural Yoghurt, this may compliment the texture.
Snacks included puff crisps with added protein, Chocolate bars again with added protein, Twizzlers and pepperoni and cheese cubes. Initially I struggled with eating them but only because in the past I would feel guilty eating a chocolate bar or a packet of crisps. I did eat them and they were all really tasty. Felt like a real guilt free treat.
The lunch and dinner options are amazing too. A mixture of Chinese, Indian and Mexican foods that are all really tasty and all you have to do is put them in the micro wave and your’e good to go. There is also easy cook kits where all the ingredients are available with the cooking card. Again the food was really tasty and filing. I chose a couple of Pizzas in my box which are Cheese Burger toppings and Goats Cheese. I made a home made soup and the Goats cheese Pizza complimented it really well.
If i am honest I felt like I never stopped eating. I noticed that my energy levels stayed high and my productivity at work improved. To top it off i lost 3.5lbs over 5 days which I am still shocked about.
So If your time poor but have a desire to eat well and have everything done for you, honestly I cannot recommend the Eat Clean programme enough.
I went onto reorder a box for my husband and I and also tapped into the meat hampers which my kids have been really enjoying. So it really is a win win situation. It will cost you between £50-75 but you will certainly get the benefits.
Weight loss should you desire it, energy levels through the roof and productivity in the work place. Not to mention the 5.5 hours you will save on shopping, meal preparation and cooking.
Lastly there is no contract so you can place an order once and enjoy the Muscle food experience. There is also a community that you can join so support is available should you need it.
